Reasons why I threw facebook outta my life!

This entry's purpose is to back up my hopeless efforts to explain why I'm not on the darned social network called facebook (hope my mentioning of it's name doesn't help promote the dreaded site). Well, don't get me wrong I'm not intending to bash the online community altogether for it has it's benefits of making communication easy as well.. BUT THAT IS IT!!

The social media has a number of aspects that I find degrading, inter-personally and mentally. I'm just gonna list them down so as to be concise:

1.) OVER SHARING: The stupid thing urges you to post every bit about yourself which is mostly inane, through their status text box, where in you are encouraged to post "what's on your mind?". That sort of works like a tool that extracts whatever synapse that is in your head through hypnosis or sh*t like that and if you don't?? you feel like a total loser without any remark to just the tidbit detail in your life.

2.) LACK OF PRIVACY: When there's over sharing there is a dire need for privacy, since you're usually inclined on growing your Facebook page (if you are a serious user!) you are most likely to impulsively add acquaintances or people you've met briefly and barely know, perhaps you are curious about them or you just wanna look popular with tons of friends. The problem is these sort of people aren't most likely the type to care about you. They aren't necessarily bad, but you never had a personal connection to begin with for them to truly understand what you express! that leads to misjudgements of your posts and maybe your persona as a whole and gives this sort of insecurity when you are naked in a public place, that you would need to cover up, and Facebook's privacy settings aren't simple if you are not tech savvy.

3.) ADDICTING: let's acknowledge the fact that, Facebook is designed to get you hooked than to your benefit. As much as it is sufficing to its users it still adheres to its main goal of hording as much members as possible so that huge stockholders invest in their site. It is all about corporate greed!!

4.) VANITY: This is pretty much like the content of what you share. You sell yourself out because you wanna be noticed in the stupid site because it is Facebook's very nature to allow users to personalize the shit off yourself because you're psyched that your friends will think it's COOL but that looks more like somebody suffering from ADHD for me fishing for comments as F***, MORE THAN THE BEGGARS LONGING FOR ALMS. --When being vain is in your system you care less about others and usually think of what impressive thing to share about yourself to dazzle others.

5.) DUNNO THE EXACT KEYWORD: The social network ruined society for me! before facebook started you have much emotional and spiritual connection with your friends, having the effort to connect with them through live speech, letters or telephone is nourishing than just chatting with them on cyberspace all day long. I mean you don't even wanna go out and see your friends in real life because it seems to you that they are more real electronically now that you are a facebook zombie.

6.) NOT MUCH REALISM: if you are not careful in using Facebook with it's engrossing environment you are more likely to spend your lifetime virtually forgetting to enrich the your actual living.

That's about all the reasons I can think of for now, and I'm not suggesting that everybody leaves the site but maybe at least help them understand me for not being there. There are actually more facebook boycotters like me but they are being discreet about it. We are realists and we'd rather experience life and relationships personally.

...don't make me explain over again... cuz It annoys me talking about it. =)

The Walking Dead: Season 3!

There is this zombie apocalypse TV Series that's a huge hit instantly when it has been aired on it's official network AMC (dunno what that means? would it matter anyway?) titled "The Walking dead". It has captured a wide audience because of it's unique way of foretelling the hackneyed "zombie themed" screenplays, where in, they tend to focus more on its character's personal lives and relations.

The show is actually following a vivid storyline adapted originally from a comic book of the same title that doesn't put much attention to killing zombies alone.

This show has been running since last year starting off at the onset of the zombie outbreak with the lead character (rick grimes), whom is confined in the ICU of the town hospital due to a comatose brought about by being shot on his last duty serving as a cop, regaining consciousness from being bed ridden weeks later ... that was a bad ass start right there! huh?

It's storyline is carried by the characters from there crossing paths along the way til season 2 where they took shelter on a farm house.. and view the show yourself to find out, now let's jump to season 3.

The show has been running in accord as intended for the past two seasons and it has totally elevated the plot from where it finished off lately. Since then, there has been a ton of expectations for the show, that season 3 will be so much more explosive since the show has taken much time to film it.

We thought season3 will have more teeth in it, ryt?? then you are in for disappointment as the storyline declines from there, its script is much more full of arguments and disputes which were unnecessary in building up the plot and they also terminated two significant characters, Shane and Dale, which what gives taste to the show.

Don't they know that killing Shane, the arch nemesis (amongst the living that is..) in the show, will leave the story line in a flat line running it alone with just heroes? watching it now is like being lost trying to find a plot out of the conclusion. Good luck to them picking up the sequence of the storyline this season. Will see what happens next still...
